The temp sensor you found unplugged on the cooler was probably done intentionally by the previous owner due to the tranny running warm....who knows though?

I guess the pump is where I have to head next... I have no idea at this point where it is or how to replace it but i will soon find out. What tells the pump to pump? Is it electronic? Mechanical? Just making sure that if there is something else in the line of fire before the pump, that I check it..

Could be on the temp sensor motorhead and you're right, who knows. There's a hole that is obviously made for it along with a bracket for it to clip on to but I guess that hole was THE ONLY place he could run the wires through for the .spot lights on the front bumper. Maybe it just didn't fit right anymore after he put everything back together from that. I will be rerunning all of that crap too if I can figure obstacle #1 out 1st!

It'a a relatively easy fix. Just gonna be a pain to do. Take pictures and make car board outlines for your bolts and you should be fine.

It appears to be something done from under the truck. I have to find the correct stuff to buy now the. So many kits and gaskets etc out there and recommendations that you also do X and X and X while your down there. I just want it to go again but I will do whatever else I can along the way to keep her healthy. Any tips on exactly what I need and where to get it?

I found oil pump gear with gaskets kit? $120 comes a handful of stuff at roverparts.com. the actual filter, gasket and o ring set is sold at my local parts store for $17. (Just the sump pan filter etc) assuming will all be needed.

What all will be needed for this adventure?
