I have found a Land Rover Certified Used 2000 Discovery II, in the color I have been looking for, with 27500 miles (owned by a previous city manager who had a company car), sold and serviced by the dealer selling it, previous owner just bought an LR3. $20K? Seems a bit high? One year warrantee, 2 add'l years available for 1500 bucks.
Thoughts?

I paid $16k for my 2000, with 38k miles on it. $20k does seem a bit high, although mine didn't come with the one-year, and was not a 'Certified' used car. See if you could bring them down a few thousand on the price.
That said, it's an awesome beast. In-town gas mileage is pretty bad, but what can you expect with FT-4WD and a V8? It's taken me through a Wyoming winter with never a hiccup. There's also a certain guilty pleasure in driving a vehicle you know people look at and say "You know, I've always wanted one of those . . ."

Just pulled the trigger, 6pm delivery... Land Rover Capital Group is giving money at 2.9% for good credit... $19.5 (three years of warrantee) for a one-owner, one-shop, Olive Green SE with full LR cert. I'm feelin pretty good... but it's never too late to bail?
