Still have the problem? Sounds like an anti-theft sort of system. if you think about it why would the ignition be incapacitated then the flashers start going off. Still have the manual. Browse through specially the anti-theft section.

I'll be check back on this post.

Check under the section of Locks and Alarm.
Have you tried closing all the doors, trunk, tail. Then lock the truck using the key, not the remote. Then unlock again.

I did that from Mikes reply I manually locked, unlocked with key as well as electronically with the remote 3 times, Still unfortunately just turns over & overand is not firing.

As far as the Manual, I have the RAVE CD and I'll check that when I get home. I think I will pull a plug wire off and see if I'm getting any spark, which I don' think I will have any. Seems like something preventing spark but why I don't know. I'm going to contact Mike later today.

I woke up thinking about your truck. I want you to check and clean all your battery connections and if you have a volt meter, read the voltage between the terminals.
Call me.

What did you do exactly? I know you changed spark plugs.
Did you at any point attempt to change the plug wires?
Were you in the area of the ignition coils?
When you changed the spark plugs were you LR keys in your pocket?
I ask this because I'm trying to figure out whether this is an alarm/disable issue or an ignition issue.
Do you remember by any chance if the LR beeped its horn while you were under the hood doing
some work?

Probably all of the above could have happened.I think the problem could be with fuel Inertia cutoff switch on the Firewall. I did push on something in that area I think and could have accidently hit it.I am going to reset it and hopefully all will be back tonormal. I have RAVE Landrover CD and in the Alarm section it has the same symptoms as what happened. Lights Flashing etc.I still need to check Voltage at Battery and rule that out.

That's one possibility. Also check on the connectors on both the left and right sides of the coil. Make sure they are on. Also behind the left engine head is the connector for the crank shaft position sensor. Make sure that is also connected. It is hard to see this one.

Well I finally got the truck running again. I had disconnected the battery last night and left it off for probably 24 hrs. I read in the Rave CD that it possible could be the Inertia switch soI reset it this morning. When I came back tonight I reconnected the battery. Alarmed / unalarmed / locked and unlocked the truck 2-3 times than got in and it started right up!! Not sure what the final fix really was though just satisfied it's runningagain. One of those unexplainable strange Electrical Issues.
Mike and everyone that replied Thanks for all your help. Much appreciated, savedme some money for sure.

Great to hear that your Disco is running again. Once again this post shows how everybody in the Rover community bands together to help. We are so lucky to have that kind of support. Great job to all involved.
