I recently bought a 2000 LR Discovery 2 and have a question concerning the radio and compass. I've noticed that if I remove the key (even with the doors open) the radio will still turn on and the compass still functions; is this normal? On all my other vehicles once the key is out and the door is open these components are not opperational. If this is not normal, any ideas on what could be causing it?

 

Perfectly normal, the radio though will then turn off, on it's on in about 20 minutes.
