2000 Land Rover Disco opened by Locksmith

Hi all! I apologize in advanced if this is already on the forums somewhere, but here is whats going on.

Went out to my Disco this morning and it wouldn't unlock with the key FOB, my latch is messed up on my drivers door so I could not unlock it that way. I replaced the battery in the key FOB and it still wouldn't open. I pried open the door and was able to hit the unlock button in the console and the doors unlocked and the alarm went off. I stuck the key in the ignition, it would turn all the way but not start the vehicle. What should I do, I have no way of getting around and it looks like I wont be going to work today.

These trucks have an immobilizer so trying to start the truck without using the fob first caused issue. Search the forums for EKA instructions and follow those while you work on getting your key to work. (and fix your door)

OK, first I would like to thank you guys for your help. And now I'll explain what I did and what happened. So, I took the link mongosd2 posted, and decided to give the EKA instructions a shot. Went back to my disco hooked up the battery again, alarmed rang out through the apartment complex. Started the procedure, completed it, got no incorrect or correct response from the vehicle. Was like, "dubsTF", decided to try the FOB, and it worked!!! I have no idea why the FOB wouldn't work earlier this morning or why it worked now. If anything happens with this again over the next week or so I will post the updated situation here on this thread.
