Default 2000 Landrover Dico ii Overheating.

So the other day i was driving home. i smlled something funny but paid it no mind. a few minutes later i notice some smoke then car started over heating. i was right by my house so i as i drove it went back down to normal but once i parked it started smoking again. i looked under car and noticed antifreeze dripping but its not in front where radiator is. i wont have chance to take to shop until weds but decided to ask here what may be the problem. water pump? thermostat? bad hose? idk

thanks guys

these are aluminum blocks, don't temp fate..if it starts to go up turn on the heater if it gets close to the red shut off the engine immediately. As far as the leak look for it in the common leak areas..pump, hoses, intake throttle body heater.

depends on what you have. if you ahve the premixed dexcool you can dump it in. if you dont have the premixed dexcool since you are only go a short distance just go pure dexcool, don't mix tap or hose water because the minerals are no good for the engine and dont use any green or yellow coolant it will turn to goo when it mixes with dexcool. make sure you have coolant when you leave and make sure its not pouring out watch it for a good two minutes before you take off. you dont want to fill it have it pour out then overheat on a one mile journey
