Default 2001 D2 Hurricane Wheels - TIRE FITMENT

I’ve looked at the “sticky threads” on tire fitments.

I have a D2 with the Terrafirma Medium Load Lift which is 2” and the Hurricane 18” wheels. My front stock plastic bumper is off.

The most common tires I’ve been told today by tires shops are 255/70/18 for 18” wheel in this size. I do want to have a spare on back but been told I can move it up 2 holes rather than buy a mount or flip it. True?

What does one suggest 255/70/18, 255/65/18, 265/65/18, or 275/65/18? These are all 31-32” tires.

From what I read anything more than 10” wide made rub of rear. Does this mean the 10.4” (265/65/18) and the 10.8” wide on 275/65/18?

From all the reading, I read it was safe to run 255/70/18 which is 10” wide and 32”, but is this pretty close rubbing and should I play it safe with 255/65/18?

I am looking at various all-terrain tires. I know there will be slight variation in brand. Some of the post are older, so I thought maybe some have tried and true accuracy on what I should run. More highway than off-road but I want it to be off-road capable. Suggestions?

Will a 265/70/18 fit my 2” Medium Load Terrafirma lift with trim to bumper on my Discovery 2?

I was looking at the Venom A/T

Yes, you can move the tire to the top two holes. Been doing it for 10 years

My actual question is what SET of 18” tire should I go with with a Terrafirma 2” Medium load lift?

Looking at 255/75/18, 265/65/18, 265/70/18 or possible 275/65/18. On road use and some off road use so A/T tires.

Do someone have suggestions on a full set to mount on this lift that won’t rub or cause issues?
