2001 Disco Coolant leak + amsoil
2 years ago I found coolant under my Disco and had a new water pump fitted. It came back still leaking and I replaced the Hose clamps with proper stainless ones that tighten with a screw, leaks stopped. Now I find I find annoying drips under the car and get the occasional smell of coolant when I stop the car. It does tend to sit for days at a time unused and this is nothing more than annoying. On looking underneath, the metal hose that connects to the engine block has pink coolant on it where it seems to evaporate. Any suggestions welcomed and I have pictures if you email me at thebairstows@hotmail.com. Current mileage 70K. Anyone out there used Amsoil for the full 25K intervals?

If you don't want to replace your engine, I would get off that sort of an oil change intervals.
The Rover engine is one of the richest running, near 50 year old engine still in operation and as a retired service manager I have to tell you, you will be killing your engine.
The more miles on an engine the more frequently oils should be changed, and to even exceed 7500 oil change intervals would be extremely hard and expensive on you and your engine. I believe AmsOil to be a good product, but they will not pay for a replacement engine when yours fails.
As for the coolant leak, go have the coolant system pressurized , verify the leak and get it fixed once and for all, you'll be alot happier.
