2001 Discovery - Rear Suspension
So - one of my friends put 18 bags of dirt into the back of her Discovery. The rear end is now sitting low - like low rider low to the point that it is kinda funny like you expect it to start bouncing up and down with hydraulics. Any ideas to fix this? When the mechanic looked at it he was clueless (it was in for a new front drive shaft).
Is there a fuse - a reset - or something?
When it was up on the rack the air bags didn't look like they had a leak. I also don't know of the compressor is working or not either but the start of the issue was all that damn dirt.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

save yourself money, time and great frustration... get rid of the bags and get springs....About $100.00 used in new condition..take you a couple hours to change out yourself with no special tools and your good to go...had a RR for years and always a issue...

FYI, he is going to need more than just used springs if he decides to go that route. He is going to need spring seats and the hardware associated with it. He might as well just buy the kit that comes with everything needed for the conversion.
This will solve your problem for once and for all.

Your friend either broke a height sensor or knocked it to far out of range for it to give a correct reading and the compressor is not coming on because the ECU does not know the truck is sitting to low.
