2001 discovery series II traction control issues
I have a 2001 Discovery Series III with 180,000 miles on it. The traction control seems to work unpredictably. When I start the vehicle the TC, Hill decent and Abs lights all come on then go off shortly after cranking. The Abs appears to be working fine on braking. I've checked the fuses for TC and they are fine.
If I drive in high gear in some slightly muddy places on our farm, TC does not kick in. If I hook to trailer with hay bales the weight seems to cause the TC work in wet/muddy areas, although not consistently. When in low gear, with weight of trailer, the TC seems to work more consistently.
Have a good Land Rover shop I use but have not taken in to have any codes pulled. Thought I would start here.
Is there any fluid, like transmission or rear diff. fluid associated with the TC performance?
Thanks

Thanks for the offer to help. I'll connect back with you when I am back home (travel a good bit for work). Even if we get the TC issue fixed, would it make sense for me to have a CDL installed on this vehicle? My wife does use it as a daily driver, short distances, and we use it a lot on the farm, pulling 3-4,000 lbs of trailer with hay, often in muddy/Carolina Clay.
