2003 D2 Parking break Adjustment cable
Whats the deal with adjusting the parking brake cable? Yes I have read the RAVE on how to do this but it is not constant with whats actually in my D2. Attached is a picture of what the RAVE says to adjust and then there is a picture of the actual cable that is installed. There is some kind of rubber mount on top of the cable and no Threaded sleeve or Adjuster wheel.
I have adjusted the brake shoe by adjusting bolt until brake drum is locked and then backed it off but this still leave to much play in the line and I have to crank the parking lever all the way up (5-6) clicks in order for it to engage.
***Update***
Here is an actual picture underneath where the cable is coming out of the body
