Thank you for this forum and intelligent advice on everything LAND ROVER. I read you posts and other articles concerning the XYZ Switch and tried the remove and clean approach before buying. Paying special attention to the pics I found on some of your other posts and the schematic downloads, I felt confident that I could takeoff/disassemble/clean/repair/replace the XYZ Switch. Just got back from my test drive with shifting at appropriate MPH along with no blinking M, S, D lights. Continued driving will tell the truth as to whether this has been a successful rebuild but at this point all is well.
