Hey All -

I just bought a 2003 Discovery, and after running for about 15minutes, it blows luke warm air. I checked coolant levels and bled coolant line for air. Any suggestions? I was thinking of doing a heater core flush next?

 

Could be a clogged core, but what outside temps are we talking about here? 180F thermostat or 190F?

 

Outside temps in the 50s, but this morning it was in the 20s. I was going to replace factory thermostat with 180F this weekend. Is that the thermostat you recommend?

 

180F is the way to go, but while you have the coolant out I’d back flush the heater core. You might be surprised when it blows out stuff that looks like snot.

 

Thanks for the info. I can do this with low pressure water from the hose? Do I need a special attachment?

 

I used a garden hose & no issues
