Default NO HEAT IN MY 2000 DISCO II !!!

Hello once again! I recently turned on my heater; because its finally getting chilly hear in the northeast. To my surprise I had no heat! It gets warm for a bit and then turns cold. I had the same problem in the spring and it was the thermostat which i changed. The vehicle was over heating at that time, which it is not doing now. I do realize it could be the heater core, but usually in most vehicles it will fog up the window when you turn the heater or defroster on do to the anti freeze leaking and blowing on to the windshield. This does not do that. I usually can hear the fluid cycling threw when the vehicle is running. I do not hear it now... Is there a valve or some sort of thermostat that allows the fluid to cycle threw the heater core when it reaches a certain temperature? Could it be clogged? Could it be a faulty relay or something to that degree? If it is the heater core what kind of time and I looking at to repair. Its not the first heater core I've changed, nor will it be the last I'm sure... I do not like bringing my vehicle into my local Rover dealer because tha've doin some shady stuff to me in the past and would much rather do it myself... Anybody got any idea what the problem is?

Thanks,
Harley C.

Odds are you are low on coolant. I would suggest you try bleeding the air from the engine, make sure you keep your coolant bottle full to the top, not the full mark, and run with the heater on high untill it starts warming up, make sure to keep the coolant bottle topped.
Let me know after a couple days of driving if this takes care of your problem.
