Don't just throw parts at it. Check your fan when the engine is running. If it's moving, then it's fine. Mine when out and I was able to stop it by hand with the engine running.

Don't just stick your hand in there

You're running hot without the fan shroud.

Yep you definitely need a good upper/lower shroud so the air is being pulled thru the radiator. Without it the fan is just moving the air around behind the radiator & not sucking it thru.

Pinpoint the hissing leak. A hose end at your ear and the other end sweeping crevices should reveal location. If at the cap; coolant pressure is beyond the cap specs caused from coolant being heated beyond 'normal' If somewhere else, fix it.

And if none of that works, just set the truck on fire

Like others have mentioned, you really need a fan shroud. Without it, you are guaranteed higher temperatures.

Its not at all, especially if it is insured with a good policy

With that being said, I would NEVER condone that kind of activity.

I did have the fan shrouds installed. Was off for checking the hoses.

Double checked the fans, both are working properly.

Could it be any leaking in the block that the pressure test couldn't catch?

try higher pressure on the tester. The leak may not occur until heat forces the crack/hole to expand open making the leak only evident when hot. This happened to a Britpart elbow part I bought.

i don’t remember, have you looked at cylinders 6 and 8 for coolant or evidence they have been steam cleaned by coolant?
