I recently replaced the belt tentioner on my 2003 Discovery, but noticed the new tentioner pulley slightly goes up and down while the engine is running. I never pay attention to what the old tentioner did.

Is it suppose to be like that or the new tentioner has defect?

if the belt is not noisy and belt is nice and tight i wouldn't worry
