Yeah I was pretty happy about that (even though I felt silly recording times for the disco). Now I got to get the steering box replaced (again) before I take it out on the interstate.

Checking your 4.11 gearing on 4-11...coincidence or is there some sort of secret obsession going on with 4 and 11...lol.

I'm with the NSA. Nothing to see here. Carry on.

Default 4/19 Update

Finally got the remanufactured steering box in from Rockauto. It’s packaged well. Looks like I will need to pull a pitman arm of one of the old ones. Here goes!

Well this is going to be a problem. Prior, proper planning, prevents **** poor performance.

Well that was a bust. Didn’t have the 40mm tool or a pitman arm puller. No problem - I’ll head to autozone. Rented their puller but they didn’t have the socket size. I opted for a a large adjustable wrench but that nut wouldn’t budge.

Waiting on Amazon...

Finally got the pitman arm off with the heavy duty puller from autozone. Popped off in less than 5 minutes. Mounting the new steering box tomorrow.

Success after 5 minutes

The nut ended up budging with the adjustable wrench?

Heck no! I had to get a 40mm socket for that.
