Not sure if you're north shore or south shore. If you are south shore, I'd check with these guys: Auto Mechanics, Auto Repair - Plymouth, MA - Reimels Automotive Specialists
As for 7 hours for a radiator, sounds like me doing it along with a triple flushing to remove the DeCool!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I am on the South Shore and called Reimels today for a quote for comparison. The independent mechanic is in Boston and seemed like an honest outfit. I just don't have anything to compare it to so I came here. This forum has been great. This is definitely not something I can do myself!
I'll probably get a comparison quote and then decide. In the meantime, keeping my eye on coolant level. Manual says Havaline extended life coolant so I need to track that down just in case. I went to 3 auto stores tonight and no luck. Geez!

Not to be rude at all but...DiscoLady, you seem to show by your few posts on here that you are quite capable of figuring things out... Search this site and the interwebs and find that nobody really reccomends Havaline extended life coolant.

You are so very close... just search the webs before you shop three stores next time.

Hint... any green 50/50 premix will do nicely... As long as you get the orange out first.

What was your quote from Reimels? I am on the Cape and probably needing a gasket.

Come down for the party. I have tools, beer, and a beach (fresh water). Did I mention beer? See you have a lightning. I had a 60-something Goldstar. Great fun to kickstart. Put me over the handlebars a couple of times.

I'm going to be out of action for the next couple of weeks because of surgery, but I come down and give you a hand 2nd week in may. I have my own place in Dennis Port to stay.

The DII is still covered under the Mass 30 day warranty, so I think it's going back.
