Default 2004 disco mileage

Seriously looking to buy 2004 Disco for longevity. Anybody near 300,000 mile mark yet? Still running good?

300k on just about any gasoline powered vehicle is a stretch. Its not to say it cant be done but not very common before its scrapped or blows up.

It's all about how you take care of them, and how you react when they have issues. I had an acura legend that had 406,000 miles on it when I sent it to the salvage yard for low oil pressure. It even had the original automatic transmission, at least based on the VIN tag attached to it.

I agree, I meant in the general case which means most people don't take the best care of their vehicles and/or junk them when they still have usable life left.

300K in a rover...thats laughable... anything is possible but with a disco with that millage i would wonder how much is original...maybe the interior but i bet that's about it...

Lets be a little more realistic here... who has hit the 200K mark? And what did it take to get there?

Yikes... small club!

Highest in the club 242K.

These trucks defiantly aren't know for longevity. I have 75K on mine and i pray i don't have to tear the engine down before i hit 100K...

On the first page, Tom Rowe said he hit 265k when it went. I wonder what broke... timing chain?
