Default 2004 Discovery II with bad engine...any ideas?

Hi : ) I have a 2004 Discovery II SE...the engine went bad at 51,000 miles. It's been sitting awhile. I pursued it with LR, got basically nowhere. I am at the point where I just want to get rid of it. It needs a new engine, I'm not sure what else. Any idea what a fair asking price would be? Would it be smarter to part it out? The body is perfectly fine.

Thanks!

The oil pumped failed, causing the engine to seize...I've had two mechanics tell me it requires an engine replacement.

What do you think you'd like to get for the ride?

If you are interested in getting it back on the road talk to Mike at Motorworks in San Diego. He is currently rebuilding me a short block due to a spun crank bearing. He will rebuild it with top-hat sleeves for a decent price.

That's why I'm here...I just want to sell it as is, but I have no clue what to ask for it.

was it stored inside or outside? how many years stored? any rust? interior leather condition, tires, etc?

you would be trying to evaluate everything other than the engine and sell it from there

u could also open up an ebay store and part it out.

that's what I would do. since my wife stays home with the kids during the summer. i would pull parts at night have her handle the ebay and shipping. lol
