I'm surprised that Google isn't more help with this. I'm trying to determine if a 4 pin p38 differential is a direct replacement for a D2 diff, as well as all the others applicable differences.

 

Any help with this guy's? Figured someone here would be an axle aficionado

HAHA HAHA HAHA that is some serious BS right there. You post on Discoweb and you'll get anything but help. There is maybe one or two people over there I'd listen to. The rest are just a bunch of keyboard commando's.

P38 is 4pin & D2 is a 2pin. I remember Kyle from DFW tried it, but in the end I think he gave up. The P38 has a stronger axle setup with larger tubes, and 4 vs 2 pin, but if I remember correctly the axle splines are the same.
