Default 2018 18 inch tire info

Read all the old threads and didn't see anything recent and tire models change as do prices.

What's the latest go to tire people like for the following

Option 1 A/T tires with good hwy manners.

Option 2 a decent aggressive all season tire with any resemblance of off road ability. Mostly gravel and dirt roads no mudding or rock climbing...

I'm price concious since I have a mile long list of other stuff to fix on the Disco

If you're not gonna see mud, get whatever you find a good deal on. you may get a little more mileage out of an all-season. If you don't have a go-to, I've gotten great deals from Discount Tire Direct (no affiliation). And oddly, they sometimes sell tires cheaper on ebay, than their online store. Usually free shipping and no tax unless they come from a warehouse in your state.

On a side note, in my experience, the 18" wheel/tire combo ride really harsh compared to the 16's that are available. Some guys (like me) have extra sets of wheels laying around, maybe someone in your area (expensive to ship 5 wheels) has a set you could get pretty cheap if you post a "want to buy". Then, again others don't mind or notice a difference, and prefer the 18's which you could sell to break even. Just my 0.02...

BFG KO2 is a good choice or the Goodyear Duratrac. I’ve got a set of 275/65R18’s on my 99 D2 and they do great. On previous vehicles I had The Duratrac’s and they were great also, but the price has certainly gone up!

I have 275/65r18 on my 03 and I love them , they do really well in general off-road/snow but are quiet on the highway

I do have a 2” lift , I have a decent amount of gap but I can’t say for sure it won’t rub, you might be able to get away with 265/65r18 without a lift but Im not 100%

3inch lift (sits more like a 3.5-4.0inch lift due to HD Springs), but without any lift 265/65R18 should be okay unless your coils are really sagging.

Falken Wildpeak AT3W. I've raved about them on the forum before. I've now had them on three vehicles. They are quieter and handle better where I've tested them (deep snow, heavy rain, etc) than the BFG or Cooper alternatives. Cost is comperable to the Cooper AT3 as far as I've seen and they've got a 60k mile warranty. Maybe 55k, but I fully expect to get 60k out of both sets I currently own. Maybe 65k out of one set.

For the price, even for a higher price, you can't beat them.

I looked at the measurements for the 265 60 18 and it seemed a bit big for no lift kit

Took your advice and got the wildpeak in 265 60 18. Fit just fine on saggy stock suspension. Look awesome on the truck and have great road manners. 129 per tire. Amazing for the money and severe snow rated to boot
