That is a $1000 vehicle at that mileage. Based on you doing whatever work comes up You should plan on at least another $2000.

With that many miles, I'd pass for more than $500.

There's a 99 here with 65k miles for $2300. If I hadn't just done the 60k mile service, I'd sell my 01 and buy it.

Get the 99 here with 65k miles for $2300.
Offer him $2,000 cash.

Note: Seems ALL of these need head gaskets around 95K to 120K miles or so.
You were warned.

Plus they need DRIVESHAFTS in the front usually,

You were warned twice.

I plan on keeping mine until I die, which will be about 562,000 miles.
...and it should be "too" many miles. I don't mean to be a jerk; if you don't get my user name just please don't be offended.

Mines got 180 on it and whilst I goes fine be prepared for the constant dribble of parts and repairs!

Interesting thought. If I drive mine until 80, ill be at 584,000 miles. That's a lot of fuel money

It'll be interesting seeing just how long our engines will last. I'm hoping us meticulous forumers will enjoy at least 250k until serious mechanical failure.

Aside from the coolant challenge for the thin head gasket material, the regular wear will get everything else. It just depends on how much rebuilding you want to do. And those of us who are not the original owner have to try to offset some of the missed maintenance.
