Not to hijack, but does Anyone know of a skinny Off-road tire for the 18' Hurricanes? I have searched to high heaven and am only finding the 265/65 tread-wrights or the 275/65 Duractracs, which are both great ties from what I read, but I wanted to keep the look of the Skinnier tires. Also, I would like to avoid buying a new set of steel wheels, so I have more to spend on other upgrades.

Many thanks,

John

There are very few options that have the load rating we need. Thus I gave up on the skinny look and just went fat with 285's and called it a day

Love the change to 235/85 from 265/75. In my opinion it's very easy to tell these are a better size for a Discovery, at least one like mine that is loaded down. On take off it accelerates easier, coasts much better when you let off the gas, and has much more responsive steering.

Yes the 235/85 is slightly taller than a 265/75, but no where near enough to be noticeable or affect how tippy it is. Trust me, on occasion I whip my Disco around the corners faster than anyone would think it was capable of, just so I know how it'll react.

Wold how do these tires hold up in snow and ice? Im looking for a thinner yet beefy military looking tire thats affordable and I do like how the cralwer looks. I was going to go with the Guard Dog but I have a tight budget so im thinking about getting these.
