Rig is looking sharp. I can deal with a little rubbing. Are you a member of the Houston land rover club HLRC by chance?

No I would like too though. It's just been me, the RAVE, and my tool box for the most part. I had heard the club does workshops and stuff like that

They do. Went to my first meeting last Saturday. The club members I did meet seemed down to earth. Did enjoy my time hanging out with them. Some of them are planning a trip to SCARR but unfortunately I will not be able to make it this year.

I think my work conflicts and that sucks, I have been upgrading mine one paycheck at a time so I'd probably break a weak link if I pushed it anyway. But in a yeah I should be "safari grade" ...... Minus the diesel sadly. I really thought that it was just me wanting to drop a diesel!!!! It's like the search for the holy grail! Just to relieve that unless you have unlimited funds it's more practical to just maintain what we got

I agree about the diesel. Awesome LR shop here in Katy that is putting a diesel in a D2 for a customer. But if you have money to throw away why not. Hey if you are interested in joining the club its Houston Land Rover Club aka HLRC. They have a website as well as a yahoo group page which is where most of the talking is done.

No, you have to live in a state that doesn't do emissions testing(not sure about your state, I know I can't do it here)

No the guy who owns it has been buying everything from the UK. Believe they used a Toyota transmission though. Also is upgrading to a ridiculous turbo.

Only certain counties have to do emissions. Just so happens I live in one of them. But from what I understand diesels are exempt from emissions in Texas.
