Default 3" lift? wodaya recon?

A friend of mine did this to her fellas disco. Well nasty.
Anyhow that means I get lodsa bit's for virtually nothing, ill av the gear box coz the syncro on 2nd has gone on mine. Side steps for a tenner, (they weren’t on at the time). Indicator stalk + wiring.

BUT what i need to know is, is the home made spring adjustments at all safe?

If any1 wants any bits, if the part is available ill see what I can do.
cheers all.
Jay

do you by chance have the bolts that hold the sun roof to the rails? (if it has sunroofs?), id be willing to pay good money.

She was travelling up the A453 in Nottingham @ about 60mph and apparently had a little slide and drifted onto the white line. But so did an on coming driver, they clipped each other causing a chain reaction. a bit of wiggling around next thing she knew she was sideways on the road and got 'T' boned by an Audi who hit at about 50mph. The 3" lift meant the Audi hit the frame of the Landy instead of punching straight through the doors...
I'll tell ya where id rather of been....In the Disco!
Anyway minor cuts n bruises all round every1 walked away relatively unscathed.

MadBilly : I know its got at least 1 sun roof and as far as I know its ok…ill be going back over there next weekend, Ill grab them then…..its the bolts that hold the glass bit onto the runners yeah?

Mike Wodaya mean rigged? I was gonna put those on my Disco. I’m far from an expert but I thought it looked ok? But I do want to be safe.

3" spacers are pretty sketchy. It works but you might as well go with coils rather than stacking the spring up there that high. 1-2" spacers are fine, 2" should be about max but 3" I would say is pusshing it. You would be better off and safer to have a solid coil under there. Plus spacers give you nothing but height apperance, you articulation dosent change hardly any at all.
