3 Amigos & Transfer Case Problems
Hi there,
I currently have the 3 amigos lit up, the nearest dealership with a diagnostic tool that can read my 2000 Disco 2 TD5 is over 2000km away. I have tried a G-scanner that I have borrowed from work, but it doesn't seem to be able to read the disco. I have heard that you can buy a cheap tool off the internet that can read the disco codes, anyone know about or used this?? In the meantime I am going to clean all of the ABS sensors to see if this will help.
The next issue is that with the engine idling while I was outside the car I could hear a rattle noise, upon inspection I found the culprit to be on the rear of the transfer case as highlighted with the screwdriver in the pic attached, seems to be about 10mm play up and down with this part and there is quite a bit of oil leaking around this area. I don't know what the part is that I am pointing too any ideas as to what is the problem would be a great help.
Cheers
Tommy
