Default 33x9.50/15 tires - How much lift?

I want to run 33x9.50/15 tires on my 99 DII, I have 31x10.50/15's now. Will 2" lift be enough with a bit of trimming? I am building a steel front bumper with winch and wheel with about 250lbs of gear and 3 passengers often. Should I get the medium or heavy springs? I am converted to rear springs already.

I have no real answer to your question, but one of my own.

Pics with BMW wheels? What style?

2" if you plan on trimming and some extended stops....should work
3"....... you could get by with out the possible trimming

That's pretty much the size I had on mine, and I didn't have to trim anything with a 2 to 3 inch lift and and ARB front bumper. I had 255/85R16. I'm not sure what offset is on the 15" rims you plan on using, but assuming it's pretty close to stock you'll probably be ok.

The rims are 90's bmw 5 series steelies. The bmw studs are 12mm vs 14mm on the Disco, so I drilled them and re-cut the lug tapers. I have been running them for 7 years now.

You've got the fancy extended roof rails.

Square tubing with ball bearings weld d in the ends, mounted with hose clamps! Goes great with the ratchet strap jack-all mount. Bush engineering!
