You must be a pyromaniac eh. Mostly I get my bits from a wreckers, what are you looking. I may have to get a pump pretty quick, bad 10 sec squeal on cold days I can grab some other stuff.

There is rpi Engineering, Turner Engineering for engine parts, but I am sure there are others. Lucky 8 LLC May be able to help.

I recently eliminated the separator and put in a PCV valve a la Best4x4’s recommendation. He’s not steered me wrong.

Also where are you guys getting replacement parts for SAI systems? Atlantic British doesn't seem to list anything.

Looks like the hardened tip on the rocker popped off, have not seen that before.

Check with Paul Grant, Will TIllery, Mike Sides (Tarheel Rover), or some of the other used parts guys for the SAI tube. There is a trick to getting them off without mangling them.

Can you replace a valve without removing the head? This ground down about .08-.1 of the stem. Or should I just throw a spacer on it?

Might be kinda hard to fit the valve face through the small hole on the top side of the head

At that mileage you will want to do the hg while you are there. Good chance the rocker was pushing the valve sideways causing your oil consumption, might have worn the guide out too. Take the head to engine shop and have it checked.

I'll echo doing the HG's while you are all the way there. No way to get a new valve on. Good HG's aren't really expensive, neither are stretch bolts. I would also want that head checked considering that damage. In the end, if you need to replace valves, the smart option is probably rebuilt heads from Abran, or that one anyway. But you won't know unless you take it to a machine shop, if you do keep the heads I highly recommend doing the valve seals while there.

bear in mind that the piece that came off the rocker tip is probably hanging around in the engine somewhere. maybe it made its way safely all the way down into the sump, but maybe not.

So after talking to my neighbor, the original owner. The motor has 35 thousand miles and 8 years. New Bosch engine.

Now that I'm awake I realize I can't replace the valve without pulling the head. I already have spare head gaskets and all that. So that's not a problem. Also work in a shop. So that's also not an issue.

just curious as to how much I'm loosing from that valve. How much of a pita is it to replace valve seat and all that. I'd rather do it myself. I'll buy a new head if I screw it up.

We'll its been making this tick for over a year. Plus the 5k miles I put on it. So it hasn't blown up yet, I assume it's ok.
