Default 94-99 T case shifter in 03 Disco

Ok so this may seem like a no duh kind of question but I haven't been able to find all that much information on the subject.

I have a cdl t case in my 03 disco and I'm using a cable to actuate the lock. Since I have to drop my t case to replace the seals I figured now was as good a time as ever to put in a proper shifter.

I can source the shifter from a discovery 1 but it looks like it mounts differently than the 04 shifters. I can also source the 04 assembly but it's twice as much. Is it possible to use the disco 1 shifter with the 03 disco 2?

Yes, if your 03 had the original tcase replaced with an 99 to 01 or an 04 tcase or the 03 tcase was modified. The 03 did not come with CDL.

But to make things easier also source the High/low cross shaft housing and bolt. Will mount up seamlessly. Otherwise you either have to bend the rod or do some other modification.

Cool, thanks. I already have a locking t case that I swapped in there. Now I know what else I should have yanked out at the salvage yard lol
