I understand that you did not have control over the situation and many people do not. Now here is a thought, would we be in this situation if people were not overspending, buying houses they could not afford, got so upside down that they could no longer pay thier bills when they were told they had a right to own that stuff even if they could not afford to pay for it? No, if those that could not afford the homes in the first place never bought them then the insurance companies never would have packaged them the way they did and there would not be as many foreclosures, hence fewer layoffs and then maybe you never would have lost your job. When I talk about personal repsonsibility I am talking about those that say they did not know they could not afford the payments, could not understand that if the interest rate went up that they would have to pay more. If people followed your advice of following what Jesus taught then they never would have convinced them to buy those houses and get those loans to begin with.

I am lucky that I still have a good job and I live in an area that is more conservative in cost of living so we have not been as affected by the economy. I also know that I am paying for your health bills and many others by way of default, everyday I work with businesses on how to manage these increases and not have to pass them onto their employees.

If we would stop fighting wars and paying for every other country that whines a little for help then we would have plenty of money to go around and give everyone in America what they need. I guess since I have lived in the government run systems and I know how bad they are I am not so eager to throw you into it as well, I am willing to cover what you and your family needs through my own coverage and increases.

I am not saying we cannot import Rovers, what I am saying is it is to costly for the average Joe.
Importing a brand new truck is alot different than importing a used one, if that is what you meant.

Why buy a $5000 truck that is half way around the world and then spend another $5000 to have it shipped and converted when you can buy a ready to go truck here for less than $10k?
Unless you are a collector or special vehicles it just is not worth it.
The money does not add up.
1995 DI for $10k or a 2004 DII for $10k?
And you would have to pay cash, no bank will loan you $10k for a $5k truck that is in Europe, they cannot repo a truck from Sweden
Not to mention that if it was totaled in a accident your insurance would only pay you what a 1995 DI was worth, they would not care that it was a "special" truck.
Now if you added a insurance rider to cover the difference then you would be fine.

Thats all I was saying, if you wanted to do it go for it.

 

Here in MI it is common place for everybody with a diesel pick up to run full flow exhaust, chip the ecu, cold air intake and a bigger intercooler to get the most HP they can.
And the sad part is it is all kids who never use their truck to haul anything other than a ATV or a dirt bike or snowmobile so they can go and tear up the trails so they get closed and the rest of us cant use them.
A big truck is supposed to make up for a small ***** and the more smoke you leave behind you the bigger your ***** are too.
Because we all know that chicks dig big smelly loud trucks that they need ladders to climb in and out of.


Spike I was wondering how I could get black smoke, by the way will a lift kit compensate for my small "truck"? You know what I mean, will it, like, look BIGGER?
