Default 95 D1 lift questions

Im getting ready to buy an OME 2.5" lift for my D1. Do I need to extend the brake lines and do I need a dropped pitman arm?

I'm doing the brake hoses on mine. I've a 95 and I'm only doing a 1" lift.

I'm basically doing it on age and mileage.

Dropped pittman arm, I dunno if it's required or not.

3" is about the limit for lift before the lines NEED to be replaced but you should replace them anyway while you are there. there are some nice steel ones.

My 99 D1 is lifted 3" and all i needed was longer brake lines. Definatly get stainless steel the disco will stop a lot better than the rubber hoses. As far as pitman arm im still running stock but you might want to look into offset caster swival joints. It drives fine without them but im noticing more tire wear.

I ran the OME HD lift on my 97 with factory brake lines without a problem. I would advise going to the stainless lines whether stock length or extended since your factory rubber lines have expanded and aren't getting as much pressure to the caliper.
