95 Disco Overheats when idling for a while??
Hello guys,
My 95 Disco overheats when I let if sit for a while with the A/C on. Don't think its a head gasket but I'm no expert. I checked and the 2 electric fans are working with the A/C on. So I'm stumped!!! Any help?? Disco has 125K on it. It runs great going down the road as long as I'm not stopped.... LMK what ya'll think...
Thanks,

I think you should flush your coolant system and hose off the AC condenser and radiator to get all the dirt off the outside surfaces. Also make sure all your fans are working (viscous and the electric one in front of the air conditioner condenser as seen through your grill). If that does not work you may need a new radiator.
On the AC check the freon level add more if needed.

There is a thread by mowermechanic having the same problems as you.
Since your aux fans are working you need to check and see if your clutch fan is working, with the engine hot and running open the hood and feel for air moving behind the fan.
Then turn the engine off and try and spin the fan, can you spin it easily?
I am assuming that you have already checked your coolant level.
