95 discovery/fuel injectors/ECU
I have a 95 discovery that isn't getting fuel to the cylinders. It turns over and has good spark from the coil and at the spark plugs. I've checked all of the wiring, tested all of the relays and fuses. The fuel pump relay isn't getting a ground to the negative side of the winding. The ground is provided by the F.I. ECU. When I connect a ground to the relay it works, the fuel pump starts and the fuel log gets fully pressurized. I haven't gotten to the fuel injectors yet but I wonder if they are getting a signal from the F.I. ECU. Anybody out there can explain the basics of how the Land Cruiser ECU works. I've worked on other systems but not the Land Cruiser. I have had the ECU out and checked all of the solder points on it and see no signs of any burnt areas. I'm out in the middle of nowhere down in Mexico so any troubleshooting will have to be done by me. Any tips on troubleshooting an ECU. I've also gone through and cleaned up all of the ground connections thgroughout the entire car. If I need any parts I can have a friend in the states bring me some when he comes down in 3 weeks. I'd just like to be sure before I go putting out any major cash. Thanks
