Default 95 Discovery Won't Start When Warm - Fuel Pump?

I have a '95 Discovery. Just the other day I had a stop to make and shut the truck off. When I tried to start it back up, it would turn over a little bit, sputter, then die. Finally after about 20 minutes it started. I have found out over the last few days that if the car has been running, it needs to sit for a while (sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes overnight), before it will start again. Looking through the forum, this appears to be maybe a failing fuel pump. Before I replace the fp i figured I would check and see if anyone has a different opinion.

Runs Great otherwise....

thanks

It sounded right, and the cheapest thing to do first.

Let us know if it works.

Cheapest and easiest. If it turns out not to do anything sell the used (but still functional one) on ebay.

OK.. Well in my procrastination to buy the part, the problem has gone away. The only thing I did differently was run a can of Seafom through the tank and have been running Premium for the last couple of tanks (had started to run regular about 8 tanks ago)..

Any ideas?

Am planning the 60k service routine shortly....

Always run premium? Why?

Matt,
If you still continue to have problems call me in Parker and let me toss some ideas at you.

Always run premium. These things run rich, so with regular you get more unburned fuel, carboning up everything. Check your manual. 91 or higher. Always.

Another justification is that your mileage will be crappy with regular (gets worse as yout engine gunks up). The mileage difference between the 2 oughtweighs the money you save initailly at the pump.
