Unhappy 96 Disco still not right

Hi all,

I posted a problem the other day and received great advice to replace the fuel filter and that seemed to fix the problem until I test drove my car. It ran erratic at best and on uphill grades, stalled and wouldn't quite die, but it took pedal pumping to keep it going. It would backfire and lose rpms when I hit any uphill grade.

I read in the forum similar problems relating to the TPS, so I replaced it also. I think I may have to reinstall because my idle rpms is now 1250-1500 rpms. I think I may have turned the pot when I put it in. Besides that, when I started it, it "idled" first at 1750 rpms then after normal warm-up went to 1250. But after about 5 minutes running, it would lose rpms and stall. I can restart it but with same results.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Doug

So the truck will only run for 5 mins and then stall out?
But before the new TPS it would run all day just not very well?
