Default 97 Disco 2 Issues Drivers Window & Pass Seat

Hello everyone and thank you for your warm wlecome. I'm new here, but love my Rovers. We actually have 2 1 1966 Series II (currently up on blocks with a blown engine)

And my everyday Disco SE7 that is driving me crazy! [:@]

I had an issue with the rollers on the window regulator (drivers side) which i took care of by replacing the regulator. But, whenever I allow the window to go all the way down, it stays down because the gear goes past the teeth and then is jammed down. This has happened to me twice. Each time I have had to take off the door panel and reset the regulator. Am I missing something? Is there a stop of some sort that goes on the gear? there is a hole there, but I was afraid if I put a bolt or some sort of plug in it I might burn out the motor).

My secomd issue is with my passenger seat controls. The forward and back motion is functioning normally but the back of the seat is stuck in the down position. I've tried everything I can think of to get it to function, but nada. Makes it reall hard to load a big item in the back (trying to get the bench folded is impossible because the back of the passenger seat is in the way). BTW the tabs they used for those controls (to hold them into the console) are the biggest piece of garbage I have ever seen on a luxury vehicle.

Thank you to anyone who can help a girl out. I guess I am fairly lucky having been brought up on a stock car track - I'm more mechanically inclined than most women - but I could use help in easy to underdtand termanology.

As far as the window goes, I have no idea.
As for the seat, switch the switches from the drivers side to the pass side and then see if it works/does the same thing on the drivers side.

Thank you Spike I did try that - nada. Does that mechanism work similarily to the windows? (with a scissors regulator?)

I know nothing when it comes to window regulators, sorry. I would think that there is a stop for the window. Maybe it is laying in the bottom of the door?

The plastic stop attaches to the bottom rail of the window. But the C shaped gear has a hole near the end, that I might be able to put something plastic in to keep it from coming out of the motor. I've got do something soon, if nothing else I will re-attach and not let the window go all the way down.

Well I managed to rig up something to keep my window from going all the way down - I used a 4 by 4 and it's working perfectly!. No more window getting stuck down!

Now if I could only figure out the seat problem I will be set!
