'97 Disco Power Window Issue
Ok so here's the issue, I tore apart the door to fix the window due to the white washer breaking on the regulator. Well I finally got around to ordering and reparing it and when I put it back together it didn't work. I installed it correctly, however there's no power getting to the motor. Both window fuses are fine, as is the switch. All other windows work correctly. Now when I say I finally got around to fixing it it's been 6-8 months.......... I've done some other troubleshooting/repairs and can't figure out if something I did would of caused the no power issue at the motor. Motor works, I tested it. I haven't taken out the ECU yet though that's next I think.... I looked at the wiring diagrams on Rave and it doesn't show any relays which I was playing around with eariler (2-3 months ago) and initially though that perhaps I swapped it out with a bad one. Is there anything I'm missing?
If it is the rear windows not working fro lack of power then most likely there is a broken solder joint on the window lift ECU.
It is behind the glove box, remove it, look for cracks, repair, windows should work.

OK call me Captain Obvious! So after 1 1/2 days of pouring over schematics, tearing apart the entire interior to include the center console looking for the C301 connector, I finally gave up and assumed that at least the connection was good from the ECU up to the motor as I was getting power to the switch and everything was connected up until the door. So I decided to put the door back together. As I assembled the components and placed them one-by-one into the door, I finally got to the door panel and lo and behold there is a window switch I haven't connected to complete the circuit............. =-D. Well on a good note it did cause me to visit these forums and I came across the Front Differential and U-Joint issue. Upon inspection one of the U-Joints was rusted and looked like it didn't have much life left so disaster averted via a $24 fix. Thanks again forums!!
