98 Discovery Overheats?!?

Do not pressure wash the radiator, if it is old adn close to the end of its life the pressure washer will cause it to leak.
Just use a garden hose.
It overheats at idle becasue there is not enough air moving past the radiator to keep it cool, drive down the road and the "ram air" coming though the grill keeps it cool.
Stop moving and all that heat builds back up.

Pressure washing a radiator is completely ok on a D2. On a D1 (copper /brass) use a bit of caution on the ends, tube to header connections, if its good enough to use you should be ok. With the radiator in the truck, its a matter of having the proper "tools" or nozzles. Do not spray at an angle, use only enough pressure to get the crap out. In most cases there is a lot more crap in them than you can see.. Removeing the radiator is the best way.
