i can see the coolant dripping underneath the drivers side adjacent to where it dripps for the ac... btw my ac is ice cold... i was think of removing the thermostat all together is that a good idea

no just replace the thermostat, its part of the 60k service sticky.

DO NOT remove the t-stat, you will cause more problems that way.
If you are stuck on the side of the road and need to get to safety then fine, otherwise no.
