99-02 fog light connectors
well my drivers side fog light blew on me last night after I picked it up from haveing the new windscreen, cowl, and a pillars replaced. Bought 2 new bulbs since I always replace in pairs. Changed out the passenger side and all was well. Went to change the drivers out and couldn't get it to come out. Come to find out it had melted in there BC it shorted out. Figured it would have blown the fuse first but nope. Anybody know where to order just the connector for the h1 bulb in that fog light?

Dude I tried to do exactly what you're doing when I put my Hella 4000's on my RTE bumper.
Your fuse and wiring can hold much more amps than those factory fogs are. You can do 1 of three things (based on what I did).
1. Try to source the right connector - H1/H11 style male/female connector. I tried this and just couldn't get the exact right one. I saw posts on here from people who ordered / used ones from ebay or amazon, but they just weren't right for me. Check back through "fog light wiring" related posts and you'll find what I'm talking about.
2. Cut the wires and use whatever male / female connection you get. This is what I did. I just redid the factory connection into my own H11 style connector set. This seemed to be the best solution for me since I already had my own set way to quick disconnect the wires, didn't need to fight around and try to order more crap in that I wasn't sure would fit with factory harness. Scrap the factory harness and make your own (only two wires from each side)
3. Scrap all harnesses and solder / quick connect the wires together. I wouldn't advise as much since its obviously harder to undo, but its still not a horrible option.
Whichever option you choose, please note again that the circuit can handle a lot. You should be able to jump 2 hella's (up to 100W) or an LED bar (100W) off those lights. Makes it easier to utilize factory switches that way.
You could also transition the factory fogs to LED or Xenon now too and build your own connection back to factory wiring
Lots of options for you to choose from, you need not get hung up on that factory harness m8

It was that damn 2 wire h1 harness that just melted. Surprised the **** out of me when I tried to replace the bulb. Ending up finding a h1 2 wire connector that can withstand higher heat so I'm remove the fog light and undo the quick connect when that connector comes in. It comes with what appears to be a 8-10 inch lead of wire coming off of it and I'll solder it up then heat shrink the solder and see if that will be me back on. I'm think it will. It looked as if the wire was so old, it was starting to fray and shorted it.
