Default 99 DII Won't Idle-down

Hello All,

My first time on the site...need help w/ my '99 DII. Did a search and did not come accross a similar thread. Long story short...out of the blue my DII died on me one day and would not re-start, turned over fine but would not fire. Over a period of several weeks the truck would start some days, some days it wouldn't start. After some head scratching I got the battery tested, it was putting out just over 12volts which apparently is not enough. Replaced the battery and the truck fired-up rather nicely however now I have a strange rpm issue...truck fires-up and idles smoothly, the problem starts when I hit the accellerator, rpms rise as they should but the engine will not return to idle when I release the accellerator. If I hit the accellerator again the rpms continue to rise and will not return to idle. If I turn the truck off and restart it idles fine. Check engine light is not on but I do have an ABS code (P1590), no other codes. It acts like the throttlebody is sticking but I have confirmed that it is returning to the idle position. I was thinking possibly a bad TPS but the symptoms don't seem to be right nor am I seeing a code. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
