just buy another used cluster, the odometer will continue to blink but at least you will have all your lights working properly again. email Paulgrant@mac.com and see if he has one available for you. Once you get all the lights functioning then you can solve the ABS issue. Now you know about this forum, just keep coming back for help.

Default update with pics

well I talked to the previous owner and he swears he knew nothing. Like I said he seems like and honest guy and I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt. He said he had the car for 7 years and never knew it did not have an abs light out nor t/l light. who knows right? I found drywall screws holding in the shroud cover with the broken tabs......
here are the pics before i messed with anything. clearly broken tabs and f'd up shroud cover. Can anyone verify if the #s are original to the car on the cluster?
Thanks

did u open it up to see if its just electrical tape over the LED's or if the LED's were broken off the board? it doesnt matter if it's the original part or not it's not going to stop blinking ever. there is no way to re-program it even with a t4.

who is your mechanic? wanna call them ask em how. i have heard from a few techs it cant be done and was even sent from one dealer to an electronics guy that worked out of an indie who said he could rewire the board to get it to reprogram.

u just have to undo the clips to take the board off the plastic front

Default scam update with pics - revealed!!!!

well at first, upon examination with my magnifying glass, I did not see anything wrong with the circut board. I looked it over and over to see if any of the led's were taped over or sniped and did not see anything out of the ordinary. At first I was wondering if the whole thing was not what it seemed and that somehow the led's were just burned out. I felt bad about calling the guy a lying scam-er and started to put the whole thing back together. Well when I lifted the plastic housing to screw it back in I noticed something stuffed into the plastic chamber on the cover and from there it all unfolded. I took the whole thing apart piece by piece and was amazed at the level of cover up by some lying, cheating, scamming mother f*****!!!!!! take a look at the pics !! duck tape was used to fill the holes then another layer on the inside and still another layer behind the plastic stamped plates.. Unbelievable! All to hide the 3 Amigos! Will dirt-bags rest at nothing to F someone over? I think this should be added to the sticky on "what to look for when buying a rover"........
I put it all back together and voila ! Ola to my bad friend.......
At least I know the cluster works and I have to deal with the amigos.....
F me.

Honestly the amigos are one of the easier things to fix (if it's not a wheel hub replacement), $150 worth of parts and an afternoon of bleeding brakes and you're done.

on my phone didnt read all previous posts but take off the dash its easy, the guy i bought mine from jammed black electrical tape in the tunnels that branch off from each warning light. they probably just put paint over it or jammed tape in there like mine, a few screws and some tweezers and atleast i knew the lights still worked (and where all on )
