Default 99 Disco I will not crank

Hi Everyone!
Please help! My baby is stuck at work in the parking lot. The key will turn in the ignition, lights come on in the cabin, and the dash board, but it will not crank. Please tell me this is a quick and cheap fix!

Turn the headlights on, have someone stand in front of the vehicle, if the lights dim to almosty nothin then probably a dead battery, which would need further diagnosing for potential alternator or connection problem. If the lights look good then probably a starter or bad connection. Check you battery terminals and connection. Most no starts are connection problem related. Try jumping it too. Buy a voltmeter and check out the voltage of the battery and while you crank it.

I really appreciate the fast reply. Idisconnected the battery and took infor a voltage read. A bad cell was found but it had a voltage reading of 12 volts. I just went ahead and got a brand new battery. After installing it shestill will turn. I made sure she was in park and everything. I do here clicks and from I have read from other postsit may be the starter. She did notgive any warnings or anything, she was firing up strong one minute and the next nothing. I'm lost. The clicks seem to come fromthe center console on the passenger side.Everything lights up on the dashbut shejust will not turn. If you have any insight ut would be greatly appreciated.

Try bypassing the starter solenoid? Id check to make sure its not gone bad before going to the starter itself.
