Default 99 discovery possessed

Yesterday, my wifes 99 disco decided not to start. I caherged it all day and found that it started without issue. I tried to drive it home and it almost made it but the lights began to dim and it died on me again. We towed it close to our house and left it overnight. The following morning, went out and it started right up. I pulled it in the driveway and left it. The next day, my wife started it right up and was able to drive 200 yards before the same thing happened, it just stalled. I am not mechanically inclined but have very limited capital right now. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you in advance

Go to an auto zone or some such place and have them test your battery and alternator...

I am going to say that either your battery or alternator is toast.
The battery is cheapest.
Take the battery out of the truck and put it on your workbench and charge it with your battery charger until youi get home from work tommorrow.
Take it to AutoZone or another auto parts store and have them test your battery.
Report back and then we will go from there.

Get your battery charged, reinstall it and go have both the alternator and battery load tested TOGETHER, then you will know for sure which is failing.
