dose the 96 disco have one of those on it? ... i'd like to know, of so next time i'm stomping little bros jeep next time we go out

NO the 96 Disco do not have that push button kit. That is an aftermarket item. Your STOCK SHIFTER locks your LOCKABLE TRANSFER CASE already. You are good to go! This is one option for DII's that dont have a shifter to lock their case.... and the CDL kit is for those that can't lock their t-cases period, (2002-2003 Disco)

Aiden All DI's have the CDL feature. But as Josh said, its a little differnt than the DII set up.

aiden, disco 1s have a transfer case shifter for hi-lo, lock-unlock. go out and get in the truck, and look closely at your tcase shifter. it should have four options where the D2 only has 2...

It costs 700 AUS Depending on the exchange rate, if you bought it today....
700 Australian dollars = 577.85 U.S. dollars

I paid less than $500 back in March for it.

whoa $500! that's 1/4 the value of my rover lol I think I'll just go the cheap route and fabricate a lever.

Well, when you calculate the costs of other options (except your own fabricated type) and time involved setting them up it doesn't cost that much more. I think I paid about $450.
