Default AAAAAHHHHH !! Damn plastic !!!

Why why oh why, does just the most simplest task always cost $$$$$$$ ? I needed only to unclip the air cleaner housing from the MASS sensor, and,"SNAP"!!!!! The plastic holding the clip breaks and metal bracket sinks into nether regions. (I later found it). So, I look at a parts house( won't mention name) and they want almost $200. Damn. So I went to Amazon and found the same thing from another parts house: $72. YESSSS !!! So, after my order, there are only 4 left! FYI !!

It sounds like you need the air cleaner box. Try Paul Grant. I have done a lot of business with him for my 04 D2.

Personally I try to always acquire random parts like this at the salvage yard to save money, but LRO3NJ I'm very impressed with your clever fix.

Also might be a situation in which strategic use of zip ties could be helpful.

I don't have the link. Just search; discovery 2 air cleaner housing, the results should be there. Also, very ingenious for that fix, however, the plastic that holds the clip broke. But for $72 and free shipping, I get a new box and it's not warped.

I'm not sure many of our fellow LR owners will know what FOD is.
