Default ABS 023: Gear Info Not Valid

I got this ABS code today, and am thinking a new neutral safety switch needs to be ordered. The switch I rebuilt was corroded. I will inspect the wiring as well. There is not much info in the rave.

What I am wondering if anyone has had this issue cause stalling or failure. I am not getting any other codes, but do not want to get stuck out and about.

Could it be adjustment? And how do you know if it is adjusted incorrectly?

Couldn't find this on a forum.

At Connector Pin C0662 the W, X, Y contacts from the Gear Position Switch go in to the BCU. I am guessing the corrosion is sending a confusing or intermittent signal in. The Dash know what gear it is in, but I wonder how much that has to do with the switch on the transmission or if that is determined by the gear shift. I am going to try an get under and inspect the switch.

I found a very good looking XYZ/Gear/Neutral Safety Switch on EBay. Hopefully, That will resolve this issue. It seems to be the only explanation.

What is the actual fault code? ABS 023 is not a true fault code, but probably something your scanner came up with

I got the code from RSW Solutions website, and used my abs Amigo.

Interesting way to go about things.

I wasn't aware of that tool, kinda sucks that it translates ABS faults in his own proprietary code system. generally ABS faults are a pxxxx type code, which is crossable in the RAVE and other diagnostic databases

I've always thought these were the WABCO codes, and that they were the same regardless of scanner.

You could be right, but the WABCO codes are proprietary in that case, and not standard format. I'm sure someone has seen it before!

I couldn’t find it! Anyway, when i rebuilt the xyz switch the front switch, w I suppose in the w,x,y,z, was really rusty. The signal is a combination of voltages from the combination of the four switches. This goes into the BCU at the pin connector referenced by the code.
