Default ABS 3 Amigos question

ok...this one is new for me....I have a 99 disco II with 102K, and the 3 amigos came on while braking, and I cycled the car and they went away.....then I pulled out my trusty abs reader, and got -

1.--Current Faults---->
Active Faults:
None
Logged Faults:
114:Shuttle Valve Electric Failure
<-END Faults
------------------------------------------------------------
* *
------------------------------------------------------------
..--Previous Faults--->
Active Faults:
None
Logged Faults:
None
<-END Faults

Does that mean my shuttle valve is getting ready to die....I saw that Roverparts has a Shuttle Valve repair kit.........I want to get ahead of this one

No. The best SVS fault fix is to do actual wiring bypassing. You can find the instructions online. "option b" I believe it is. Try searching SVS fault fix option b. Should be how to bypass the SVS connectors.

Go read Josh's Sticky thread at the top of the D2 section. At your mileage I would suggest you do the ground fix as well as the shuttle valve replacement using the complete kit from Falcom Works.

As Josh has mentioned, go to Falcon works where you get an up-grades shuttle valve plus the seals and o-rings that fail causing the shuttle valves problems.
I will be doing mine in early January.

I advise people to not only replace the SVS but to also do the wiring bypass! There was nothing wrong with my switches that the kit replaces. The problem was with the circuit plug that Josh highlights. In my opinion the MAIN issue with these is the connection from the SVS and not the SVS them selves. If you're going to replace the SVS you might as well take 5 minutes and bypass the SVS circuit connector. Just read through
Joshs page.
