Default ABS Amigo

I have an 2003 Disco II. I have the 3 amigos showing up right now. I went to the dealer to have the codes read, and they indicated that I needed a front hub assembly. They did not give me codes (although I should have demanded them). I am located in Central Jersey. Does anyone around where I am, have the ABS Amigo that I could borrow. I will come to you and I don't mind paying some for the use if it. I would just like to get to the bottom of the issue.

thanks

You should be able to tell if your hub is bad. Front wheel shake, growling, grinding noises, loose wheel etc. If not you probably just need a new sensor. FYI I'm not sure there is a "bad hub" code. If your hub is bad I believe you get a bad sensor code (I did).

I believe it is the sensor also. However, I am under the impression that after the repair is done, that you still need a reader to clear the code. Or light will continue to stay on.

yep thats true.

A bad hub WILL throw a sensor error as the worn bearing affects the reading.

Yes that is true. You will not have ABS or traction control until you fix the sensor and clear the ABS codes with an ABS amigo or really any good scanner that can do ABS codes. Maybe try to find an indy shop with an ABS scanner.
